Baseball Recap: Albany Comes Up Short

Albany lost against Stamford back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lions came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 12-2.

Albany saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chip Chambers, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Albany's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5-3. As for Stamford, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Albany is set to challenge their familiar foe Hawley at 5:00 p.m. on the 22nd. Meanwhile, Stamford will square off against rival Anson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
