Adrian hadn't done well against Lincoln recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Maples walked away with a 6-1 win over the Railsplitters. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 3-0 win on Monday.

Julius Robichaud was a major factor no matter where he played. He kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over 4.2 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Carter Howard and Adam Parker did most of the damage at the plate: Howard went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double, while Parker went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Landon DeKeyser also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Adrian and bumps their season record up to 6-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Lincoln, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

Adrian has already played their next game (against Blissfield), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Lincoln, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Tecumseh at 4:00 p.m. The Railsplitters' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 11.7 runs per game this season.
