Softball Recap: Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton Takes a Loss

After soaring to 15 runs the game before, Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They came up short against the Randolph Rockets, falling 17-2. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Rockets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Autumn Thissen, who went 1-for-2 with one run. Brielle James also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton's loss dropped their record down to 5-7-1. As for Randolph, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 14-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton will venture away from home to take on Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Martin Luther/Truman at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Randolph, they will head out to face off against Zumbrota-Mazeppa at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Rockets are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
