On Tuesday, everything went Faith Christian's way against Four Corners as Faith Christian made off with a 79-58 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Faith Christian.
Salot Roundtree and Brandon Rivera were among the main playmakers for Faith Christian as the former scored 17 points along with 7 rebounds and the latter scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Josiah Brown, who scored 11 points along with 5 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Circle Christian had to suffer through a rough 95-55 loss at the hands of Lake Mary Prep. Circle Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite their defeat, Circle Christian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Lucas Valdes, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 10 rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. The match was Valdes' fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Connor Lion, who scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds.
The opposite results left the teams with opposite records: Faith Christian's win pushed their record up to 2-0, while Four Corners' defeat dropped theirs down to 0-2.
Everything came up roses for Faith Christian against Circle Christian in their previous meeting back in January as the team secured a 90-52 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Circle Christian's Cooper Claycomb, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 10 assists. Now that he won't be playing on Thursday, will it be that much easier for Faith Christian to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
