Mountain Brook is a perfect 4-0 against Huffman since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Mountain Brook will head out on the road to challenge Huffman at 4:00 p.m. Mountain Brook will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

If Mountain Brook beats Huffman with nine runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Mountain Brook came out on top against St. Edward by a score of 9-5 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Huffman came up short against Jackson-Olin on Wednesday and fell 9-5. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Xavier White was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over five innings while giving up six earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. What's more, he gave up only two walks, the fewest he's had since back in February. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing three bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, Mekhidric Jackson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Darius Hall also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Mountain Brook's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-5. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Huffman, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Everything went Mountain Brook's way against Huffman in their previous matchup back in April of 2018, as Mountain Brook made off with a 17-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mountain Brook since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
