Deshler had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 56-37 victory over the Lawrence-Nelson Raiders. For the Dragons, this counts as revenge for the 40-33 win the Raiders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2025.

Deshler's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carson Sieber led the charge by dropping a double-double with 17 points and 11 boards. Sieber is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down 11 or more in each of the last four games he's played. Kaden Kleen was another key player, putting up 14 points in addition to seven boards and six assists.

Deshler was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lawrence-Nelson only racked up nine.

When it comes to explaining why Lawrence-Nelson lost, don't look at Wyatt Frey. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten rebounds. Frey continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Hoelting, who posted nine points and three steals.

Deshler's victory bumped their record up to 20-2. As for Lawrence-Nelson, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-3.

As of now, neither Deshler nor the Raiders have any future games scheduled.
