It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Red Wing ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Century Panthers, sneaking past 9-8. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Wingers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Red Wing's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Century, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-9.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Red Wing will square off against rival Mankato East at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wingers 3.6, the Cougars 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Century is set to take on their familiar foe Faribault at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
