Baseball Game Preview: Cabool Bulldogs vs. Ava Bears

Cabool hasn't had much luck against Ava recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Bulldogs will challenge the Bears at 4:30 p.m. Cabool has given up an average of 13 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Cabool is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They lost 17-0 to Licking.

Meanwhile, Ava didn't have quite enough to beat Salem on Monday and fell 2-1.

Ava now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Cabool, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Cabool took their win against Ava in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-6 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
