Softball Recap: Uxbridge Wins Going Away Against Blackstone Valley RVT

Uxbridge never let their opponents score on Monday. They blew past the Blackstone Valley RVT Beavers 17-0. The Spartans have beaten the Beavers the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Beavers has come to flipping the script.

Erin O'Day made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in May of 2024. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, five runs, and five RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Uxbridge got a massive performance out of Lola Grube, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. That's the most RBI Grube has posted since back in May of 2024. Katherine Pratt was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.

Uxbridge's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Uxbridge and Blackstone Valley RVT will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. Uxbridge will challenge rival Millbury at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Blackstone Valley RVT is set to take on their familiar foe Bay Path RVT at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
