Soccer Recap: Grand Prairie Takes a Loss

Grand Prairie managed to keep up with Arlington until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Grand Prairie Gophers lost 3-0 to the Arlington Colts. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, the Gophers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Grand Prairie's loss dropped their record down to 3-8-8. As for Arlington, their win bumped their record up to 8-6-6.

Grand Prairie and Arlington could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Grand Prairie (ranked 400th) will meet Lamar (ranked 130th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Arlington will square off against Martin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 166 places (273 vs. 107).
