Volleyball Recap: Benjamin Comes Up Short

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Benjamin and Jupiter, and Jupiter kept the tradition alive. The Buccaneers came up short against the Warriors on Tuesday, falling 3-0. If the Buccaneers were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Warriors when the teams met back in October of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Benjamin was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Jupiter's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-18, 25-21.

Benjamin's offense was headlined by Emmie Hill and Emma Markin, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Riley McCaughey and her 18 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Macy Mcamis was a one-woman wrecking crew For Jupiter. as she had 14 digs and five aces. That's the most aces Mcamis has posted since back in September.

Benjamin has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season. As for Jupiter, they pushed their record up to 18-4 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Benjamin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Ransom Everglades on the 8th. As for Jupiter, they will venture away from home to take on Saint Andrew's at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
