The Oxford Academy Patriots will square off against the Glenn Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Oxford Academy has given up an average of 7 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Xiomara Martinez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniela Perez, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Glenn was not able to break out of their rough patch last Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against Cerritos, falling 8-2.

Glenn saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carissa Galvan, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one double. Another was Amaya Yanez, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Glenn's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Oxford Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-7.
