Baseball Recap: Maurepas Snags Third Win in Last Four Games

Maurepas won the last time they faced False River and things went their way on Thursday too. The Maurepas Wolves walked away with a 9-6 victory over the False River Gators. That's two games straight that the Wolves have won by exactly three runs.

Jonah Miller was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 6.1 innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.
