Basketball Recap: Dyer County Comes Up Short

Dyer County was the 59-51 winner over Westview when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Dyer County Choctaws opened the new year with a less-than-successful 64-53 loss to the Westview Chargers. The Choctaws just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row.

Dyer County's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Westview, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Dyer County will be playing at home against Lake County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westview, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Memphis Home Education Association at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Westview will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
