Football Recap: Alexandria Finds Playoff Glory Versus John Curtis Christian

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Alexandria had no problem doing just that on Friday. They walked away with a 24-13 victory over the John Curtis Christian Patriots. The 24-point effort marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Jt Lindsey was his usual excellent self, rushing for 247 yards and two touchdowns. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 61 yards.

Despite the loss, John Curtis Christian still got an impressive performance from Reggie Johnson, who rushed for 83 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries, and also threw for 138 yards and one touchdown. The dominant performance gave Johnson a new career-high in passing yards. Jacobi Boudreaux was another key player, gaining 127 total yards and a touchdown.

The win keeps them at an undefeated 13-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.8 points per game. As for John Curtis Christian, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-6.

Alexandria will challenge Edna Karr at 12:00 p.m. on December 14th. Edna Karr will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something Alexandria surely won't give up without a fight. John Curtis Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
