Baseball Recap: Garden Spot Comes Up Short

Garden Spot lost against Manheim Central back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Spartans lost 17-11 to the Barons. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Zander Clymer was cooking despite his team's loss, going 4-for-5 with one home run and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Speers, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Garden Spot's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Manheim Central, they pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Garden Spot will host Cocalico at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Spartans are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Manheim Central, they will welcome Donegal at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
