Baseball Game Preview: Upland Highlanders vs. Rancho Cucamonga Cougars

For the second straight game, Upland will face off against Rancho Cucamonga. The Highlanders will head out on the road to face off against the Cougars at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Upland's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Rancho Cucamonga's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Upland took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They skirted past Rancho Cucamonga 2-1. The win was some much needed relief for the Highlanders as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Andrew Weber spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.
