Volleyball Recap: Round Rock Comes Up Short

After flying high against Anderson on Monday, Round Rock came back down to earth. The Dragons lost 3-0 to the Lake Travis Cavaliers on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Dragons have suffered since September 6, 2024.

Round Rock took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-21, 25-22.

Kerrington Thornton paced Round Rock's offense, picking up nine kills. Thornton got some help from Nila Beauchamp and her 19 assists. Brooklyn Bradley controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Round Rock's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Round Rock wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Glenn on the 14th. As for Lake Travis, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Iowa Colony on the 14th.
