It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Oak Forest had no problem doing just that on Saturday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Evergreen Park Mustangs a 3-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-0 back in April.

Oak Forest has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-13-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Evergreen Park, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 27-10.
