Basketball Recap: Pine Ridge Comes Up Short

Pine Ridge lost against Lennox back in January of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Pine Ridge Thorpes were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 61-60 to the Lennox Orioles. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (55), the Thorpes still had to take the loss.

Pine Ridge's loss came despite strong showings from Marvin Richard Lll and Alex Bissonette. Richard Lll posted 24 points along with five assists and four steals, while Bissonette almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine boards. Richard Lll's afternoon made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Kolbe Steele was another key player, putting up ten points.

Pine Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Lennox, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.

Pine Ridge will venture away from home to square off against Viborg/Hurley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pine Ridge is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.4 points per game this season. As for Lennox, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Canton at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
