Basketball Recap: Sparta Takes a Loss

Sparta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 43-35 to the Coopersville Broncos. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 34-16 back in January.

Sparta's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Coopersville, they moved to 5-10 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sparta will welcome Allendale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sparta has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Coopersville has already played their next match (against Catholic Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
