Canyon View and Canyon del Oro squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Canyon View had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Dorados by a score of 2-0. The Jaguars' loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Emily Davis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on seven hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Brooke Downs was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases.

Canyon View's defeat dropped their record down to 26-5. As for Canyon del Oro, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 31-3.

As of now, neither Canyon View nor the Dorados have any future games scheduled.
