Basketball Game Preview: Alameda Pirates vs. DSST: College View Wolves

The Alameda Pirates will head out on the road to take on the DSST: College View Wolves at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Alameda will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Friday, Alameda really took it to STEM School Highlands Ranch for the full four quarters, racking up a 42-6 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 24-0.

Meanwhile, DSST: College View didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Sheridan on Friday, but they still walked away with a 40-36 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolves.

Alameda's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30 points. As for DSST: College View, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-1.

Alameda came out on top in a nail-biter against DSST: College View when the teams last played back in January of 2018, sneaking past 50-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Alameda since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
