Baseball Recap: Paris' Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Paris dropped their record down to 16-9 on Monday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins on the road. They came up short against the George Rogers Clark Cardinals, falling 13-1. The Greyhounds were not able to make up for their loss to the Cardinals from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Paris saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sam Morris, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

As for George Rogers Clark, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games.

On George Rogers Clark's side, Ben Fulks was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was Fulks' first of the season. Another player making a difference was Najee Harris, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

While Paris had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
