Volleyball Recap: Sickles Gets the Win

Sickles won the last time they faced Bishop McLaughlin Catholic and things went their way on Saturday too. The Gryphons had just enough and edged out the Hurricanes 2-1. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Gryphons as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Amaya Robinson paced Sickles' offense, picking up 15 kills. Robinson got some help from Ava Montagna and her 12 assists. Gabbi Colmenares-Salas controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Sickles' win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Bishop McLaughlin Catholic, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.

Sickles wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Robinson on the 20th. As for Bishop McLaughlin Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Land O' Lakes on the 20th.
