Softball Recap: Carrollton Gets the Win

Carrollton came out on top against Minerva on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run third inning. The Warriors skirted past the Lions 7-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 back in April.

Carrollton's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Player #6, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double. Those two runs gave Player #6 a new career-high. Kearsten Ball was another, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Carrollton's win bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Minerva, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carrollton will face off against United at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Eagles will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Minerva, they will challenge Alliance at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
