Basketball Recap: Immaculata-La Salle Comes Up Short

Immaculata-La Salle was the 48-43 winner over Don Soffer Aventura when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Immaculata-La Salle Royal Lions received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 69-55 to the Don Soffer Aventura Barracuda. The Royal Lions' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Ocean Nahum was his usual excellent self, putting up 22 points and seven assists for Don Soffer Aventura. Nahum's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Dimitri Tatulishvili was another key player, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds.

Immaculata-La Salle's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Don Soffer Aventura, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Immaculata-La Salle will take on Booker T. Washington in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Immaculata-La Salle is facing Booker T. Washington at the right time seeing as Booker T. Washington is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. Don Soffer Aventura and Scheck Hillel Community School will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Scheck Hillel Community School has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
