Basketball Recap: Sheldon Comes Up Short

Sheldon entered their match against Lockwood on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Sheldon Panthers were dealt a 52-19 defeat at the hands of the Lockwood Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 56-39 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

Sheldon's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-6. As for Lockwood, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Sheldon has already played their next contest (against Humansville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Lockwood has already played their next match, a 42-35 win against Stockton on the 4th.
