Basketball Game Preview: Westinghouse Bulldogs vs. Carrick Raiders

Westinghouse is 2-8 against Carrick since February of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Westinghouse Bulldogs will square off against the Carrick Raiders at 7:00 p.m.

Westinghouse is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Taylor Allderdice and fell 78-29. The contest marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Meanwhile, Carrick had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.4 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They took down the Bulls 72-53.

Carrick has also been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.1 points per game. As for Westinghouse, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Westinghouse suffered a grim 73-49 defeat to Carrick in their previous matchup back in January. Can Westinghouse avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
