Basketball Recap: WF West Comes Up Short

WF West lost against Kelso back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The WF West Bearcats took a 55-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kelso Hilanders.

Despite the loss, WF West still got an impressive performance from Grady L Westlund, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 20 rebounds. L Westlund is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down 11 or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Gage Brumfield, who posted eight points.

WF West's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Kelso, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-11 record this season.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the WF West Bearcats challenge the Centralia Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. WF West is facing Centralia at the right time seeing as Centralia is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Kelso, they will challenge Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Heritage is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.4 points per game this season.
