Basketball Recap: Sutherland Takes a Loss

Sutherland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Wallace Wildcats 46-19. If the Sailors were looking for revenge after losing 57-32 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Sutherland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Wallace, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Sutherland and Elba will compete for holiday cheer on Saturday. Sutherland is facing Elba at the right time seeing as Elba is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Wallace, they are taking a road trip to challenge Potter-Dix at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
