Baseball Recap: Independence Comes Up Short

After soaring to 13 runs the game before, Independence was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They fell just short of the Ridgeview Wolf Pack by a score of 3-2. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolf Pack earlier this season, when they won 13-2.

Independence saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was AJ Mosqueda, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Independence has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season. As for Ridgeview, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.

Independence has already played their next game, an 11-1 victory against Golden Valley on the 14th. As for Ridgeview, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 12-2 loss against Classical Academy on the 14th.
