Hilltop is 0-9 against Montpelier since April of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Cadets will host the Locomotives at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, it was close, but Hilltop sidestepped Fort Wayne Crusaders for a 10-9 win.

Cameron Schlosser made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit. Schlosser was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024.

Montpelier's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Sharps, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Griffin Cooley was another, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.
