Harker posted their closest win since April 5, 2024 on Friday. They won by a set and slipped past the Monta Vista Matadors 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Matadors: they've now won six in a row.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Harker who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 20-25, 25-15, 22-25, 18-16.

Harker's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Monta Vista, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Harker will square off against Los Gatos at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Los Gatos has won three straight at home, while Harker won seven straight on the road dating back to last season), something that'll have to change. As for Monta Vista, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Palma on the 15th.
