Basketball Game Preview: Tushka Tigers vs. Elmore City-Pernell Badgers

Having just played yesterday, the Tushka Tigers will jump right back in to play the Elmore City-Pernell Badgers at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Tushka is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Coalgate 61-58. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Cleat Zike and Tucker Willis were among the main playmakers for Tushka as the former went 7-for-10 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and the latter dropped a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. What's more, Zike also posted a 70% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Luke Howard, who posted three points.

Meanwhile, Elmore City-Pernell hadn't done well against Wilson recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way last Friday. Elmore City-Pernell secured a 53-49 W over Wilson. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Badgers.

Tushka's victory bumped their record up to 7-16. As for Elmore City-Pernell, their win bumped their record up to 15-7.
