Baseball Game Preview: St. Thomas Catholic Eagles vs. Clear Brook Wolverines

St. Thomas Catholic hasn't had much luck against Clear Brook recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Eagles will welcome the Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. Clear Brook took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on St. Thomas Catholic, who comes in off a win.

Last Monday, St. Thomas Catholic was able to grind out a solid victory over Bellaire, taking the game 4-1.

Braden Comstock tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

At the plate, St. Thomas Catholic's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Braxton Mandella, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Meanwhile, Clear Brook came up short against Sterling on Saturday and fell 9-4.
