Softball Recap: Kettle Run Comes Up Short

Kettle Run was the 6-3 winner over Liberty when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Cougars fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 5-4 on Thursday. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Addy Thomas was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. Ryan Drew was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Kettle Run's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Liberty, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

While Kettle Run had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
