Basketball Recap: North Middlesex Regional Takes a Loss

North Middlesex Regional suffered their closest defeat since January 26, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Oakmont Regional Spartans by a score of 39-36. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-32 back in December of 2024.

North Middlesex Regional's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-5. As for Oakmont Regional, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

North Middlesex Regional has already played their next game (against Chelmsford), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Oakmont Regional will venture away from home to take on Westborough at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Westborough will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Oakmont Regional surely won't give up without a fight.
