Baseball Game Preview: Roseville Tigers vs. Placer Hillmen

The Roseville Tigers will face off against the Placer Hillmen at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Roseville is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

On Saturday, Roseville came up short against Yuba City and fell 9-6.

Mason Susnara was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. Kyle Pettersen was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Placer won against Del Campo last Saturday with three runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. Placer's pitchers stepped up to hand Del Campo a 3-0 shutout. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hillmen.

Placer saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Robby Silski, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Roseville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Placer, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Roseville came out on top in a nail-biter against Placer when the teams last played back in March of 2023, sneaking past 6-4. Does Roseville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Placer turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
