Softball Recap: Lennard Comes Up Short

Lennard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Riverview Sharks, falling 11-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sharks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-6 back in February.

Lennard saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kennedy McClain, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Lennard's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Riverview, they pushed their record up to 6-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Lennard is taking a road trip to challenge Armwood at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Lennard's pitchers better be ready for this one: Armwood has averaged an impressive 10 runs per game this season. As for Riverview, they will host Middleton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Middleton has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.78 runs per game on average), something Riverview will no doubt try to take advantage of.
