Basketball Recap: Gregory-Portland Gets the Win

Jones came into Thursday's matchup looking for another win against Gregory-Portland, but Bella Davis wouldn't allow it. The Gregory-Portland Wildcats managed a 46-42 victory over the Jones Trojans on Thursday thanks in part to Davis, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards. That's the most rebounds she has posted since back in November of 2023.

Gregory-Portland's win bumped their record up to 17-11. As for Jones, they dropped their record down to 7-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gregory-Portland will face off against King at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Gregory-Portland is facing King at the right time seeing as King is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Jones, they are taking a road trip to square off against Ingleside at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
