Football Recap: John Paul II Skates Past First Baptist School with Ease

John Paul II's game back in September was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They blew past the First Baptist School Hurricanes, posting a 42-10 win. That looming 42-10 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Golden Warrriors yet this season.

John Paul II found their leader in freshman Jadon Inabinett, who rushed for 243 yards and a pair of TDs on only ten carries, and also picked up 37 receiving yards. Those 243 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Inabinett. Alan Wolf was another key player, rushing for 50 yards and one score.

John Paul II was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 440 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

The victory got John Paul II back to even at 3-3. As for First Baptist School, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. John Paul II will head out to square off against Hilton Head Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for First Baptist School, they will venture away from home to take on Hilton Head Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Hurricanes will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 44.33 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
