Soccer Game Preview: Woodbridge vs. Hylton

The Woodbridge Vikings will square off against the Hylton Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Hylton will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Woodbridge extended their winning streak to four on Wednesday. The Vikings never let Potomac Senior get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Woodbridge's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four matches.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hylton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over Potomac Senior on Thursday. It was an even better day for Jaida Monroe as she scored three goals for her team.

Hylton has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those five games. As for Woodbridge, they pushed their record up to 9-2-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Woodbridge took their win against Hylton in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 6-0 score. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
