Football Recap: Buffalo's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Buffalo proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 37) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Braxton County Eagles 19-16. Winning may never get old, but the Bison sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Despite the loss, Braxton County saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Logan Payne rushed for 152 yards and one touchdown while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. Those 152 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Payne.

Buffalo's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Braxton County, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Looking ahead, Buffalo will be playing in front of their home fans against Ravenswood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bison will be up against the Red Devils' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34.4 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Braxton County, they will venture away from home to square off against Doddridge County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' defense has only allowed 4.8 points per game this season, so the Eagles' offense will have their work cut out for them.
