Baseball Recap: Hanover Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Hanover's offense. They came up short against the Stark Generals on Monday, falling 9-0. The Bears have struggled against the Generals recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Hanover saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Daigle, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Hanover's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-3. As for Stark, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Hanover is set to take on their familiar foe Bow at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bears 3.3, the Falcons 1.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Stark will square off against rival Pembroke at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
