Volleyball Game Preview: Stagg Delta Kings vs. Chavez Titans

The Stagg Delta Kings will challenge the Chavez Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Stagg is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Stagg came up short against Bear Creek on Wednesday, falling 3-0.

Stagg took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-18, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Chavez came up short against Weston Ranch on Wednesday and fell 3-1. The Titans have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

The final score came out to 25-13, 17-25, 25-20, 25-21.

Stagg will need to focus on slowing down Adrian Chanthala, one of several Chavez players who made an impact when they last played. He had 22 digs. That's the most digs Chanthala has posted since March 3rd. Another player making a difference was Teagan Yem, who had 19 digs.

Chavez's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Stagg, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

Stagg suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Chavez when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Stagg avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
