Baseball Recap: Twentynine Palms Comes Up Short

Twentynine Palms suffered their biggest loss since April 19, 2024 on Monday. They came up short against the Coachella Valley Mighty Arabs, falling 12-2. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Wildcats' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Twentynine Palms saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Lopez, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

This is the second loss in a row for Twentynine Palms and nudges their season record down to 6-3. As for Coachella Valley, they moved to 5-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

While Twentynine Palms had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
