Preview: Brookstone Cougars vs. Mount de Sales Academy Cavaliers
Brookstone is 7-2 against Mount de Sales Academy since December of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The pair will face off at 2:30 p.m. on December 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Brookstone has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Brookstone pushed their score all the way to 70 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 71-70 to Calvary Christian.
The losing side was boosted by Chapman Dykes, who scored 24 points. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Thomas Henderson, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Mount de Sales Academy lost to Strong Rock Christian at home by a decisive 53-36 margin on Saturday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Mount de Sales Academy has scored all season.
Brookstone's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-5. As for Mount de Sales Academy, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Brookstone strolled past Mount de Sales Academy in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 59-40. Does Brookstone have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mount de Sales Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
