Football Game Preview: Platte County Pirates vs. St. Pius X Warriors

The Platte County Pirates will take on the St. Pius X Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Last Friday, Platte County was fully in charge, breezing past Raytown 42-7. Give the Pirates' offense some serious credit: that high-scoring performance was actually the fewest points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only St. Pius X walked away with it. They blew past the Griffins 59-27 on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

St. Pius X's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Platte County, their win bumped their record up to 9-0.

Platte County took their victory against St. Pius X when the teams last played back in November of 2024 by a conclusive 44-23 score. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
