16 must be Pendleton's lucky number: they beat Newport with that score not once but twice on Monday. The Buckaroos blew past the Cubs 16-6. The victory was just business as usual for the Buckaroos, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Pendleton's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Newport, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pendleton will be taking part in a tournament against Estacada at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday. The Rangers' pitching crew has only allowed 1.5 runs per game this season, so the Buckaroos' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Newport, they will host Junction City at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
